Custom Fit Corsets under $200

While many clients can get away with standard-sized corsets, it’s not a realistic case of one-size-fits-all. What if you’re very tall, very short-waisted, or very pear-shaped? What if you 100% know that no OTR will fit you correctly, but you’re still looking for an inexpensive gateway corset that will fit you properly? Here are a few makers that offer custom, semi-custom, and made-to-measure corsets for $200 or less.

Update: Please note that a few corsets are a smidge above the $200 USD mark. I originally made this gallery in 2013; due to inflation alone, this would convert to $227 USD now in 2021. However, for the sake of those on a strict budget, I have tried to keep all corsets in this list under $220.

*Caveat emptor: In many cases, you get what you pay for. These corsets are made-to-measure, but this does not necessarily imply that all corsets in this list are suitable for waist training/ daily wear. Many fledgling corsetieres will also underprice their work to practice their skills, build their client base quickly, and gain a foothold in the industry — but in many situations, these prices are not sustainable to the maker — for this reason, this gallery is especially subject to change; it’s the nature of business that as demand rises for a product, prices increase as well.

Statnaia Corsets Custom Underbust, $208

Tatyana Stetsina (Statnaia Corsets, Ukraine) has found her niche in stealthing corsets, or sometimes called lingerie corsets – she offers made-to-measure closed front corsets in satin (shown above) or mesh, with underbusts starting at $200 USD and cupped overbusts starting at $300 USD, with free shipping. Tatyana says that she typically patterns her corset to give a 10% waist reduction and is comfortable making corsets in any waist size up to 47 inches (120cm) closed waist, but if you’re in need of a larger size or something different, she says you are welcome to message her.

Hedonistic Costumes – tabbed Stays starting at $210 USD for cream calico linen, markup for colored silks

Rowena Collins from Glastonbury, UK is the talent behind Hedonistic Costumes – her heavily boned and cleanly-finished tabbed stays start at just $210 USD for closed front stays or front-lacing stays. The base price is with cream calico linen, but she offers a range of brightly-colored linen fabrics (like the cotton-candy pink shown here) for a modest markup.

Nocturnal Nostalgia “Lolita” Gothic Overbust, $199. Model: Elisa Berlin

Rose of Nocturnal Nostalgia says that her corset designs are inspired by a combination of Victorian, Edwardian, and modern Gothic influences. She is one of the few makers on this list that offers a modern overbust corset for under $200 USD. This corset is semi-made-to-measure, based on a 3-point measurement system (your bust, waist, and hip circumference) however it’s encouraged that you message Rose if you need changes to the length or any other requests.

Vozisova Corsets – short stays are under $200

Maria Vozisova (Vozisova Corsets) is a corsetiere from Kirov, Russia, specializing in historical reproduction corsets and underpinnings. Her Regency jumps, short stays, and modern lingerie (mesh) underbusts all start at under $200, and Victorian demibust and overbust pieces start at around $250.

Please note that I have linked you to their Etsy store, which many consumers say has a better track record than their website – but they stock mostly standard-sized corsets. So be sure that you go for “made-to-measure” or “custom” and not the listings that just say “ready-to-wear” or “in your size”.

~Honorable Mentions~

Corsetry & Romance custom underbust, $120 (model: Miss Miasma)
Corsetry & Romance custom underbust, $120 (model: Miss Miasma)

*Please note that I have not personally tried every corset brand in this list, nor do I necessarily endorse every company in these guided galleries. This is for informational purposes only; please email any of the above makers to learn more about their made-to-measure corsets. Tiddly links are Etsy affiliate links, which help the galleries remain free for everyone.

Thanks for this page. I cannot wear standard size corsets, due to my rather unique measurements; Very short waist to lab measurement, assymetrical body (one leg longer/shorter than the other), and an exaggerated lumbar lordosis. I love corsets and I wish to waist train, but my hobby has become so expensive :p .

Hi Aaron, are you looking to specifically feminize your figure? We have another gallery on feminizing corsets here so these corsetieres will be experienced with the kind of corset you’re looking for. While most of these corsets are over $200, they are specialists who can help create exactly what you need. Some favorites include House of Canney, Romantasy, and Puimond. When you contact them, please also tell them that you need a stronger busk, reinforced seams, etc.

    Hello Lucy,

I have been interested in corsets for years now. I have lower back pain and also do horse riding so in combination that leads to some issues! I have been working on gaining stomach muscles as well as I have recently been diagnosed with slight lumbar lordosis and nerve compression whilst lifting heavy objects! Do you know which company is able to best cater towards anatomical irregularity support? I have had corsets in the past that are too long for my torso and actually dig into my thigh and block blood flow. Ideally I am just looking for a very support right corset that supports my lordosis whilst riding.

    Thank you!

Hi Sophie, since your corsets have a medical requirement, I would use caution before buying a corset from just any maker (even if it’s made to measure). The corsetiere map has yellow markers and these are corsetieres who have experience making medical back support garments, and they can even work with medical insurance companies if you’re covered. I would start by contacting the corsetiere that lives closest to you (in-person consultations are the best case scenario for ensuring a proper fit), and work your way out from there.

Hello! So my natural waist is 21inches with a 32hip and it’s really hard to find anything my size.. my torso is pretty short as well it’s about five inches long. My dream waistline is 16 inches or even a 18inches..
I’ve been wanted an underbust curved gen corset but I haven’t had any luck..

    • Lucy says:

Hi Bani, I’ve helped fit thousands of people and I have never seen someone with a torso length as short as yours! Are you under 5 feet in height, or do you have any history of spinal curvature? The shortest torso length I have seen in someone was 7.5 inches, which is enough to fit even some OTR waspies or cinchers. Have you tried measuring from under the breast to the top of the lap while standing up and facing the mirror? If so, do you still measure 5 inches?

I am preparing to order custom, and had someone double check the measurements I got when taking them myself, both times had same results – but – looking at the numbers has me worried that my body is strangely proportioned! My natural/skeletal waist (where the crease is when I bend to the side) seems almost absurdly high being immediately below my ribs. Of course I have no clue what the average numbers would be for ‘normal’, and the purpose of going custom is to fit the individual, but I’m still a little worried. Dear Lucy, you’re the only one I think might be able to put my mind at ease!

  6. rosaly says:

Hello Lucy, I am new to corset training. I’ve bought my first a few months ago and and Im almost ready for my next size down. I would love to buy a custom one, one made especially for my measurements but even after going to all the above mentioned sites, i have no idea where to start. I can tell you my first one was from orchard corset the cs426. I love it and it and but i, like i said before, want one made for,my body and a bit shorter. Where should i start? Which site would provide a corset close to the cs426 style? Help I’m so lost…

    Sincerely
    Rosaly Hanslik

    • bishonenrancher says:

Hi Rosaly, many people compare the CS-426 to Isabella Corsetry’s “Josephine” corset in terms of the patterning and general shape, except the Josephine is a bit curvier. Isabella does offer custom corsets, so she’d be able to make you a custom Josephine that’s very similar to the shape and cut you already like, but just made to your measurements. If you’d like to hunt out more options, I have a consultation service and I’d be glad to help you out. Cheers!

Thank you so much for this gallery! I’ve been researching corsets for years, but am just now getting to a point where I can financially begin waist training. The downside is that I have a 12″ natural hip spring, which means OTR is pretty much out of the question. These galleries help more than you know. Thank you for putting so much time and effort into sharing your knowledge with others :)

Welcome to the 12″ natural hipspring club!! I agree that custom is the way to go and my custom corsets are definitely the best I own, but there is also the MCC-36 corset model which has hips (measured 4.5″ down from waist) which are 14″ bigger than the corset waist size. The underbust (measured 4″ above the waist) is 8″ bigger than the corset waist size. It also has functional lacing over the front hip which can allow you to widen the gap if necessary.
      I am
      Underbust: 30″
      Waist: 26″
High hips: 36″ (3″ below waist)
Full hips: 38″ (6″ below waist)
And picked the size 22″ as I prefer no lacing gap and am able to fully shut the corset. Its really not bad for something which only cost $75!!
