Custom Fit Corsets under $200

While many clients can get away with standard-sized corsets, it’s not a realistic case of one-size-fits-all. What if you’re very tall, very short-waisted, or very pear-shaped? What if you 100% know that no OTR will fit you correctly, but you’re still looking for an inexpensive gateway corset that will fit you properly? Here are a few makers that offer custom, semi-custom, and made-to-measure corsets for $200 or less.

Update: Please note that a few corsets are a smidge above the $200 USD mark. I originally made this gallery in 2013; due to inflation alone, this would convert to $227 USD now in 2021. However, for the sake of those on a strict budget, I have tried to keep all corsets in this list under $220.

*Caveat emptor: In many cases, you get what you pay for. These corsets are made-to-measure, but this does not necessarily imply that all corsets in this list are suitable for waist training/ daily wear. Many fledgling corsetieres will also underprice their work to practice their skills, build their client base quickly, and gain a foothold in the industry — but in many situations, these prices are not sustainable to the maker — for this reason, this gallery is especially subject to change; it’s the nature of business that as demand rises for a product, prices increase as well.

Tatyana says that she typically patterns her corset to give a 10% waist reduction and is comfortable making corsets in any waist size up to 47 inches (120cm) closed waist, but if you’re in need of a larger size or something different, she says you are welcome to message her.

Hedonistic Costumes – tabbed Stays starting at $210 USD for cream calico linen, markup for colored silks

The base price is with cream calico linen, but she offers a range of brightly-colored linen fabrics (like the cotton-candy pink shown here) for a modest markup.

She is one of the few makers on this list that offers a modern overbust corset for under $200 USD. This corset is semi-made-to-measure, based on a 3-point measurement system (your bust, waist, and hip circumference) however it’s encouraged that you message Rose if you need changes to the length or any other requests.

So be sure that you go for “made-to-measure” or “custom” and not the listings that just say “ready-to-wear” or “in your size”.

~Honorable Mentions~

Corsetry & Romance custom underbust, $120 (model: Miss Miasma)
Corsetry & Romance custom underbust, $120 (model: Miss Miasma)

Palina of Corsetry & Romance, (Poland) creates stunning corsets at a jaw-dropping price, starting at only $90 with modest markups for different fabrics and embellishments. SnowBlack Corsets from Poland made beautiful made-to-measure underbust corsets starting at only $190. Marta stopped making corsets in 2022.

Haizea Couture Underbust CorsetHaizea Couture (from San Sebastian, Spain) is in this list as an honorable mention as her prices for made-to-measure corsets are now above the $200 USD pricepoint (and I am so happy for her success!) however she has many sample corsets in her Etsy shop that are in the $150 range and a variety of sizes that it would be a disservice to omit her from this gallery completely.

*Please note that I have not personally tried every corset brand in this list, nor do I necessarily endorse every company in these guided galleries. This is for informational purposes only; please email any of the above makers to learn more about their made-to-measure corsets. Tiddly links are Etsy affiliate links, which help the galleries remain free for everyone.

Not sure if you’re still updating this chunk of the site, but recently in my corset group Crimson Lily Atelier has become really popular, and her prices are in the same range as Corsetry & Romance. I’m looking forward to getting mine, which should be coming in the next month or so hopefully!

      • Lucy says:

Hi Lys, thanks so much for these suggestions – I’m indeed slowly updating the guided galleries, but it’s a huge undertaking – there are 30 galleries and I only have enough free time to update one per week. I will add Crimson Lily and Crash Art to the gallery when I get a moment. :)

Hello I’ve been trying to find the perfect corset and after a lot of searching and research ive come to the conclusion that I can use a size 44 corset but only unbusts i fear my bust is to large to fit an overbust. Should i do a custom corset or do you know of another option. My waist is 48 my bust is a 58 and my underbust is a 50.

  3. Jade says:

    Hi!
I am newish to corsets and I really want a custom corset because my torso is stupidly long and I have not found a single corset that properly matches my measurements. I’ve even found that many of the custom places (especially the cheaper ones) will do custom measurements but it’ll still only be the circumferential measurements that are custom and they will just adjust an already made shape.
My circumferential measurements are standard enough: UB: 30″, W: 29″, HH: 35″. But the space between my ribs and waist is about 8″ and the space between my waist and hips is 5″. I can find the height in corsets made for men but that doesn’t suit the rest of me, and I can’ find the right circumferences but then the corset always sits right on top of my floating ribs, even the supposed ‘longline’ ones! I don’t know where to turn to have one properly made for me without spending vast amounts of money! (and I live in Australia so everything is always more expensive due to shipping)

    • Lucy says:

Hi Jade, have you contacted Corsetry & Romance about a custom commission? I know for sure that Palina’s custom corsets are customized for length as well as circumference.

  4. Carol says:

Can you sort of “resew” a corset to fit better? I bought one on a whim from an adult store and laced it watching your video about the bunny ears. It’s not bad but doesn’t really fit my bust well….it has like “baggy places on the sides, between my armpit and my breast. Are there seamstresses that fit corsets to the woman and how can I find such a person. Would I have to go to a Costumer to have one resized for me or do I just get an entirely new one?

    Thank you

    • Lucy says:

Hi Carol, there are different types of alterations you can do to improve the fit of a corset! I have a video / post about that specifically here. But keep in mind that for major alterations, sometimes it’s easier and less time to start from scratch than it is to modify a pre-existing corset since there are so many seams to pick out.

    Hi Lucy

I absolutely love you channel and think you and your content is amazing. I really want a made to measure corset but i dont want to spend more than $160. I love my cupped ribbed Gemini but the hips are a tad to big. Do you know any good corsetires based out of the United States that would be a good place to start looking for a custom corset

    • Lucy says:

Hi Collin, the only brand on this page that’s both in the US and meets your budget for a custom fit corset is Meschantes, but their customer service can be a bit spotty (some people receive their corset late, with inconsistencies in quality, etc) – that’s the tricky thing with custom corsets at this price point (the Polish corsets are less because there’s a much lower cost of living there). In more expensive places like the US or the UK, often something has to be sacrificed (as corsets are labor-intensive with expensive hardware), so service or quality can sometimes suffer.

  6. Elle says:

    Hey Lucy,

Do you have any idea what happened to Lovesick Corrective? I tried to buy a corset from her back in 2013 and just tried contacting her again about a week ago and both times I got no reply. Is she out of corsetry?

    thanks.

    • Lucy says:

Hi Elle, I have been told by some other people in the community that they have recently taken orders (I don’t know exactly how recent is “recently”) but the maker is just extremely selective about who they chose for a client. I have also tried to contact them several times for a custom corset but never heard back.

      • Elle says:

Huh. Interesting. She actually was going to take me in 2013 but then just stopped responding.

welp. Guess I’ll find someone else, then. Shame– the reason I wanted a corset from her is because she had made some corsets for medical reasons (which is why I need a corset).

Thanks for telling me, though. I appreciate it. <3

  7. Amelia Tansey says:

I am a big girl, after having 2 kids I have had trouble with my weight, I was wondering if you make custom made corsets. If you do please let me know what kind of measurements you will need so that way I can give you the right measurements. Thank you for your time and understanding.

    • Lucy says:

Hi Amelia, I no longer make custom corsets (I only sell OTR at the moment) but this page / gallery is supposed to showcase all the corset makers that do create custom corsets starting at less than $200. If you click on any of the pictures on this page, it will redirect you to that maker’s website where you can learn more about their work, ask questions, and start a commission if you feel ready. Each maker takes measurements a little bit differently, so it’s best to ask each of them what they need from you. :)

  8. Mechelle says:

Hi lucy. I am trying to find a corset for myself and underbust I have extremely large breasts. And I’m very curvy but I have ordered two OTR corsets one from Orchard one from camellias and on both of them the busk busted through the front right above my tummy because I have the poochie tummy. The Camellias one didn’t seem to have enough curve for me anyway. I ended up with the 426 Short from Orchard and it was really seasoning well even though the hips were too big because I don’t have big hips and I have a very short torso. I’m looking for a reasonably priced corset it’s not off the racks at least not ridiculous to custom make simple plain black. But what I’m asking is who caters to people that have a little bit of a tummy maybe because if both of those corsets busted at the same place, obviously a place of Greater stress for me on corset. You have any recommendations for where I could get one that will last more than 6 months. Thx

    • Lucy says:

Hi Mechelle, I don’t know where you’re located but if you would like a custom corset, you can see if any corset makers live near you by looking at the corsetiere map. overbust to support your full bust, I would recommend the makers in this gallery (overbusts for large busts). However please note that an overbust corset is much more difficult to fit compared to an underbust, and it will cost more than $200 if you would like a personal fitting especially to make sure it fits in all the right places and is reinforced where you need the extra support.

  9. Autumn says:

    Hey Lucy,
I’ve always wanted a corset. Just something for me (and my husband) to enjoy. Due to my sizing, I haven’t found one yet. My torso is average not short or extra long. My measurements are
    B: 42
    W: 34
    H: 39
I’ve been searching for a long time for one that’ll fit but I have no idea which one would be best for me or if one was possible to be made.
If you could let me know.
    Thanks!

    • Lucy says:

Hi Autumn, thanks for your measurements. Are you looking for an overbust corset or an underbust? If you’d like an underbust, then I’ll need your ribcage circumference instead of your full bust. It’s also easier to recommend a certain corset if I know your torso length in inches, because even the difference of an inch or two can mean the difference between being comfortable or not being able to sit down properly. I have a measuring tutorial and contact form here. Cheers!
