Hourglass Black Cashmere longline underbust corset in the hourglass silhouette, and now with swinghook front hardware! This corset is exactly the same as the black cashmere hourglass longline, but instead of a standard busk, this corset features 1-inch wide steel bone on each side, which provides anchors for heavy duty silver-finish swing hook closures. Wool holds dyes more vividly than cotton, so the black color is more saturated and resists fading.

The longline corset is suitable for those who have a longer torso (a seated torso length of 11 inches or longer from under the breast to the top of the lap). Because of the expandable side hip ties, they are fantastic for pear-shaped clients especially (if you have a large natural hip spring). They are suitable for many plus size or full-figure corset enthusiasts as well. The lower edge of this corset does well to pull in any protruding lower tummy. These corsets have a more hourglass silhouette, so it will nip in your waist and provide a more dramatic curve compared to the ‘slim silhouette’ corsets.

Measurements:
The longline underbust corsets generally accommodate ribcage ~6.5 inches larger than the waist, and hips ranging from 7-20 inches larger than the waist, due to adjustable side hip ties. For instance, a size 24″ corset would fit someone with a ribcage circumference of 28″ and hip of 31″ all the way up to 44″. As a mass-produced garment there is a natural variation in these corsets so the proportions may not be exact in every corset, although we aim for less than 0.5 inch variation.
Lengthwise, the longline underbust corsets are approximately:
13 inches long in the center front.
11 inches long at the princess seam.
11 inches long at the side seam.
13.5 inches long at the center back.
Sizing:
It is generally advised that corsets are ordered approximately 4-6 inches (10-15 cm) smaller than your natural waist – however if you would like to have your size verified before purchase, you may fill out the measurement form on this page. This corset contains two core layers of cotton twill, and a fashion fabric of a cashmere twill which is hardy, matte, abrasion-resistant and fade-resistant. As a natural fiber it will breathe better than polyester-based fabrics, and is a favorite for those who wish to waist train (as long as measurements are compatible).
The fashion fabric is always fully fused to the twill, which adds strength and prevents bubbling or wrinkling – creating a smooth line on the body.
All longline underbust corsets contain 20 spiral steel bones and 6 flat steel bones, plus a front fastening busk and back grommets/ laces, and adjustable side hip ties.
This corset also features 6 garter tabs, and a matching modesty placket under the busk. A back modesty panel is not included, but we do have separate, boned modesty panels for separate purchase.
Returns and Exchanges:
You have a full 30 days from the purchase date to “try out” the corset and you can return or exchange it as long as the corset does not have any stains, scents, or obvious signs of wear. Just fill out the exchange form, ship it back and I’ll give you a full refund (minus shipping; USPS takes that). Lucy Corsetry does not charge any restocking fee! After the 30 days are over, the corset will not be accepted for refund, but it is still under warranty for life – some wear is normal, but if something prematurely breaks from normal use, your corset is still eligible for exchange.
