This lovely piece has been ordered by many brides to cinch in their waist and smooth over the hips under their wedding dresses (works better with a structured gown instead of thin gauzy dresses).

The longline corset is suitable for those who have a longer torso (a seated torso length of 11 inches or longer from under the breast to the top of the lap). Because of the expandable side hip ties, they are fantastic for pear-shaped clients especially (if you have a large natural hip spring). They are most suitable for plus size or full-figure corset enthusiasts as well. If your ribcage measures the same as (or smaller than) your natural waist, then the top edge of this corset will not flare away from your body and the corset is less likely to ride up on your torso compared to other brands. The low edge of this corset also does well to pull in any protruding lower tummy.

Measurements:

The SLIM SILHOUETTE longline underbust corsets generally accommodate a ribcage ~4 inches larger than the waist, and hips ranging from 8-16 inches larger than the waist, due to adjustable side hip ties. For instance, a size 24″ corset would fit someone with a ribcage circumference of 28″ and hip of 32″ all the way up to 40″. However, as a mass-produced garment there is a natural variation in these corsets so the proportions may not be exact in every corset.

Lengthwise, the standard length underbust corsets are approximately:

13 inches long in the center front.

11.5 inches long at the princess seam.

11 inches long at the side seam.

14 inches long at the center back.

 

Sizing:

It is generally advised that corsets are ordered approximately 4-6 inches (10-15 cm) smaller than your natural waist – however if you would like to have your size verified before purchase, you may fill out the measurement form on this page. This corset contains two core layers of cotton twill, and a fashion fabric of smooth and clean white satin which allows clothing to glide effortlessly overtop.

The fashion fabric is always fully fused to the twill, which adds strength and prevents bubbling or wrinkling – creating a smooth line on the body.

All standard underbust corsets contain 20 spiral steel bones and 6 flat steel bones, plus a front fastening busk and back grommets/ laces.

This corset does not include a modesty panel, but stiffened, floating modesty panels are available for separate purchase.

Returns and Exchanges:

You have a full 30 days from the purchase date to “try out” the corset and you can return or exchange it as long as the corset does not have any stains, scents, or obvious signs of wear. Just fill out the exchange form, ship it back and I’ll give you a full refund (minus shipping; USPS takes that). Lucy Corsetry does not charge any restocking fee! After the 30 days are over, the corset will not be accepted for refund, but it is still under warranty for life – some wear is normal, but if something prematurely breaks from normal use, your corset is still eligible for exchange.
