Jade GC Black Cotton Corset

Introducing “Jade”, a black cotton mid-hip underbust corset suited for those who have a wider pelvis or are a bit more pear-shaped. This corset is a few inches bigger in the hips compared to the Jolie corset, and about an inch shorter in length, allowing it to fit a different range of corseters.

This corset is 10 inches at the princess seam so suitable for those who have an average torso but love the look of a slight longline. This is also suitable for many plus size or full-figure corset enthusiasts; the lower edge of this corset does well to pull in a protruding lower tummy. These corsets have a more hourglass silhouette, so it will nip in your waist and provide a more dramatic curve compared to the ‘slim silhouette’ corsets.

This corset is Glamorous Corset label, and is made to the same specifications as Glamorous Corsets.

Measurements:

The Jade corset generally accommodates a ribcage ~7 inches larger than the waist, upper hip 10 inches bigger than the waist, and lower hips 11-12 inches larger than the waist. For instance, a size 24″ corset would fit someone with a ribcage circumference of 31″ and lower hip of 35″. As a mass-produced garment there is a natural variation in these corsets so the proportions may not be exact in every corset, although we aim for less than 0.5 inch variation.

Lengthwise, the Jade corsets are approximately:

12 inches long in the center front.

10 inches long at the princess seam.

11 inches long at the side seam.

12.5 inches long at the center back.

Sizing:

It is generally advised that corsets are ordered approximately 4-6 inches (10-15 cm) smaller than your natural waist – however if you would like to have your size verified before purchase, you may fill out the measurement form on this page. This corset contains two layers of cotton twill which is hardy, matte, abrasion-resistant and fade-resistant, with an interlining in between. As a natural fiber it will breathe better than polyester-based fabrics, and is a favorite for those who wish to waist train (as long as measurements are compatible).

The fashion fabric is always fully fused to the twill, which adds strength and prevents bubbling or wrinkling – creating a smooth line on the body.

All Glamorous Jolie corsets contain 20 spiral steel bones and 4 flat steel bones, plus a front fastening busk and back grommets/ laces..

This corset also features 6 garter tabs, and a matching modesty placket under the busk. An unstiffened back modesty panel is included, but we do also have boned floating modesty panels for separate purchase.

Returns and Exchanges:

You have a full 30 days from the purchase date to “try out” the corset and you can return or exchange it as long as the corset does not have any stains, scents, or obvious signs of wear.
