Custom Fit Corsets under $200

While many clients can get away with standard-sized corsets, it’s not a realistic case of one-size-fits-all. What if you’re very tall, very short-waisted, or very pear-shaped? What if you 100% know that no OTR will fit you correctly, but you’re still looking for an inexpensive gateway corset that will fit you properly? Here are a few makers that offer custom, semi-custom, and made-to-measure corsets for $200 or less.

Update: Please note that a few corsets are a smidge above the $200 USD mark. I originally made this gallery in 2013; due to inflation alone, this would convert to $227 USD now in 2021. However, for the sake of those on a strict budget, I have tried to keep all corsets in this list under $220.

*Caveat emptor: In many cases, you get what you pay for. These corsets are made-to-measure, but this does not necessarily imply that all corsets in this list are suitable for waist training/ daily wear. Many fledgling corsetieres will also underprice their work to practice their skills, build their client base quickly, and gain a foothold in the industry — but in many situations, these prices are not sustainable to the maker — for this reason, this gallery is especially subject to change; it’s the nature of business that as demand rises for a product, prices increase as well.

Decadent Designs – simple closed front corsets made to measure, $129 USD

Olga of Decadent Designs is a Canadian designer who offers closed-front overbusts and underbust corsets in her Toronto-based studio. Krista Olafsen Design (LA california) – Underbusts and Victorian Overbusts start at $200

Atelier Vintage Rose (made to measure) Brocade Underbust, $207

Valentina Rozhkova of Atelier Vintage Rose (St. Petersburg, Russia) creates lovely historical reproduction corsets in the high $200s, but she also offers a few contemporary corsets like this lovely made-to-measure Italian brocade longline underbust for just $207 USD. She works off 5 body measurements for this particular corset. Other listings in her $200-and-under range include mesh stealthing underbusts, and short Regency stays (jumps), as well as a smattering of ready-to-ship corset samples.

Statnaia Corsets Custom Underbust, $208

Tatyana Stetsina (Statnaia Corsets, Ukraine) has found her niche in stealthing corsets, or sometimes called lingerie corsets – she offers made-to-measure closed front corsets in satin (shown above) or mesh, with underbusts starting at $200 USD and cupped overbusts starting at $300 USD, with free shipping. Tatyana says that she typically patterns her corset to give a 10% waist reduction and is comfortable making corsets in any waist size up to 47 inches (120cm) closed waist, but if you’re in need of a larger size or something different, she says you are welcome to message her.

Hedonistic Costumes – tabbed Stays starting at $210 USD for cream calico linen, markup for colored silks

Rowena Collins from Glastonbury, UK is the talent behind Hedonistic Costumes – her heavily boned and cleanly-finished tabbed stays start at just $210 USD for closed front stays or front-lacing stays. The base price is with cream calico linen, but she offers a range of brightly-colored linen fabrics (like the cotton-candy pink shown here) for a modest markup.

Nocturnal Nostalgia “Lolita” Gothic Overbust, $199. Model: Elisa Berlin

Rose of Nocturnal Nostalgia says that her corset designs are inspired by a combination of Victorian, Edwardian, and modern Gothic influences. She is one of the few makers on this list that offers a modern overbust corset for under $200 USD. This corset is semi-made-to-measure, based on a 3-point measurement system (your bust, waist, and hip circumference) however it’s encouraged that you message Rose if you need changes to the length or any other requests.

Maria Vozisova (Vozisova Corsets) is a corsetiere from Kirov, Russia, specializing in historical reproduction corsets and underpinnings. Her Regency jumps, short stays, and modern lingerie (mesh) underbusts all start at under $200, and Victorian demibust and overbust pieces start at around $250.

Meschantes Corsetry custom Weskit Halter, $195

Meschantes Corsetry‘s underbust corsets range from $160 – $195 starting price, and are made-to-measure in your choice of one of hundreds of different fabrics/colors. Please note that I have linked you to their Etsy store, which many consumers say has a better track record than their website – but they stock mostly standard-sized corsets. So be sure that you go for “made-to-measure” or “custom” and not the listings that just say “ready-to-wear” or “in your size”.

~Honorable Mentions~

Corsetry & Romance custom underbust, $120 (model: Miss Miasma)
Corsetry & Romance custom underbust, $120 (model: Miss Miasma)

Palina of Corsetry & Romance, (Poland) creates stunning corsets at a jaw-dropping price, starting at only $90 with modest markups for different fabrics and embellishments. The corset featured above is custom-fit, finished in dupioni silk with black lace appliqué, and also includes a floating modesty panel, front modesty placket and storage bag – for only $120 USD plus shipping – and overbusts start at $160. For such a good deal, I doubt these prices will stay so low for very long! She has been moved to the honorable mentions section at this time as she is currently on hiatus from taking corset commissions to focus on a more recent passion for making mid-century dresses made from lush natural fibers like silk, wool and linen.

Haizea Couture Underbust Corset

Haizea Couture (from San Sebastian, Spain) is in this list as an honorable mention as her prices for made-to-measure corsets are now above the $200 USD pricepoint (and I am so happy for her success!) however she has many sample corsets in her Etsy shop that are in the $150 range and a variety of sizes that it would be a disservice to omit her from this gallery completely.

*Please note that I have not personally tried every corset brand in this list, nor do I necessarily endorse every company in these guided galleries. This is for informational purposes only; please email any of the above makers to learn more about their made-to-measure corsets. Tiddly links are Etsy affiliate links, which help the galleries remain free for everyone.

  1. Hi Lucy, I’m from New Zealand, and just starting with my interest in corsets and their uses and benefits. Your website and YouTube have been really helpful. How would I go about ordering a corset?

    1. Hi Tara, my apologies for the late response! If you’d like something from my this list, simply click on any of the photos in the gallery and it will redirect you to that maker’s website, where you can learn more, ask questions, and start a commission. If you’d rather start with an OTR corset for the cheaper price and exchange/return perks, then the best place to start is by submitting your measurements here, and I’d be happy to suggest which corset in my shop will fit you best!

  2. Hi Lucy I am a plus sized gal in need of an underbust corset with a zipper in front in lieu of busks, I don’t have anyone to assist in lacing on a regular basis and outward appearance of the corset isn’t a huge issue as It’ll be worn with a light top or tee over it. A zipper front with a short flap under it ought to make it a bit easier to get myself into it. Any idea whom I could contact and not break the bank? Love all these corsets shown. Thank you kindly for your assistance

    1. Hi Sammi, I have some OTR corsets that can be ordered with a zipper if you’re interested. You can contact me with your measurements here and I’ll let you know if anything fits. If you prefer a custom corset with a zipper, I have a different gallery on specifically zippered corsets here (however they are all at different price points).

  3. Not sure if you’re still updating this chunk of the site, but recently in my corset group Crimson Lily Atelier has become really popular, and her prices are in the same range as Corsetry & Romance. I’m looking forward to getting mine, which should be coming in the next month or so hopefully!

    1. And Crash Art Corsetry, also from Poland, forgot to put that in the previous comment :)

      1. Hi Lys, thanks so much for these suggestions – I’m indeed slowly updating the guided galleries, but it’s a huge undertaking – there are 30 galleries and I only have enough free time to update one per week. I will add Crimson Lily and Crash Art to the gallery when I get a moment. :)

  4. Hello!! By any chance you know of a corsetry for a custom made in California? Closest possible to the San Diego area.

    1. Hi Mireya, I recommend taking a look at the Corsetiere map on this page. :)

  5. Hello I’ve been trying to find the perfect corset and after a lot of searching and research ive come to the conclusion that I can use a size 44 corset but only unbusts i fear my bust is to large to fit an overbust. Should i do a custom corset or do you know of another option. My waist is 48 my bust is a 58 and my underbust is a 50.

    1. Hi Ashley, depending on your hip measurement, you would be able to fit a waist size 38″ and bust size Large with about a 3-inch wide lacing gap in the back.

  6. Hi!
I am newish to corsets and I really want a custom corset because my torso is stupidly long and I have not found a single corset that properly matches my measurements. I’ve even found that many of the custom places (especially the cheaper ones) will do custom measurements but it’ll still only be the circumferential measurements that are custom and they will just adjust an already made shape.
My circumferential measurements are standard enough: UB: 30″, W: 29″, HH: 35″. But the space between my ribs and waist is about 8″ and the space between my waist and hips is 5″. I can find the height in corsets made for men but that doesn’t suit the rest of me, and I can’ find the right circumferences but then the corset always sits right on top of my floating ribs, even the supposed ‘longline’ ones! I don’t know where to turn to have one properly made for me without spending vast amounts of money! (and I live in Australia so everything is always more expensive due to shipping)

    1. Hi Jade, have you contacted Corsetry & Romance about a custom commission? I know for sure that Palina’s custom corsets are customized for length as well as circumference.

  7. Can you sort of “resew” a corset to fit better? I bought one on a whim from an adult store and laced it watching your video about the bunny ears. It’s not bad but doesn’t really fit my bust well….it has like “baggy places on the sides, between my armpit and my breast. Are there seamstresses that fit corsets to the woman and how can I find such a person. Would I have to go to a Costumer to have one resized for me or do I just get an entirely new one?

    Thank you

    1. Hi Carol, there are different types of alterations you can do to improve the fit of a corset! I have a video / post about that specifically here. But keep in mind that for major alterations, sometimes it’s easier and less time to start from scratch than it is to modify a pre-existing corset since there are so many seams to pick out.

  8. Hi Lucy

I absolutely love you channel and think you and your content is amazing. I really want a made to measure corset but i dont want to spend more than $160. I love my cupped ribbed Gemini but the hips are a tad to big. Do you know any good corsetires based out of the United States that would be a good place to start looking for a custom corset

    1. Hi Collin, the only brand on this page that’s both in the US and meets your budget for a custom fit corset is Meschantes, but their customer service can be a bit spotty (some people receive their corset late, with inconsistencies in quality, etc) – that’s the tricky thing with custom corsets at this price point (the Polish corsets are less because there’s a much lower cost of living there). In more expensive places like the US or the UK, often something has to be sacrificed (as corsets are labor-intensive with expensive hardware), so service or quality can sometimes suffer.

  9. Hey Lucy,

Do you have any idea what happened to Lovesick Corrective? I tried to buy a corset from her back in 2013 and just tried contacting her again about a week ago and both times I got no reply. Is she out of corsetry?

    1. Hi Elle, I have been told by some other people in the community that they have recently taken orders (I don’t know exactly how recent is “recently”) but the maker is just extremely selective about who they chose for a client. I have also tried to contact them several times for a custom corset but never heard back.

      1. Huh. Interesting. She actually was going to take me in 2013 but then just stopped responding.

welp. Guess I’ll find someone else, then. Shame– the reason I wanted a corset from her is because she had made some corsets for medical reasons (which is why I need a corset).

Thanks for telling me, though. I appreciate it. <3

  10. I am a big girl, after having 2 kids I have had trouble with my weight, I was wondering if you make custom made corsets. If you do please let me know what kind of measurements you will need so that way I can give you the right measurements. Thank you for your time and understanding.

    1. Hi Amelia, I no longer make custom corsets (I only sell OTR at the moment) but this page / gallery is supposed to showcase all the corset makers that do create custom corsets starting at less than $200. If you click on any of the pictures on this page, it will redirect you to that maker’s website where you can learn more about their work, ask questions, and start a commission if you feel ready. Each maker takes measurements a little bit differently, so it’s best to ask each of them what they need from you. :)

  11. Hi lucy. I am trying to find a corset for myself and underbust I have extremely large breasts. And I’m very curvy but I have ordered two OTR corsets one from Orchard one from camellias and on both of them the busk busted through the front right above my tummy because I have the poochie tummy. The Camellias one didn’t seem to have enough curve for me anyway. I ended up with the 426 Short from Orchard and it was really seasoning well even though the hips were too big because I don’t have big hips and I have a very short torso. I’m looking for a reasonably priced corset it’s not off the racks at least not ridiculous to custom make simple plain black. But what I’m asking is who caters to people that have a little bit of a tummy maybe because if both of those corsets busted at the same place, obviously a place of Greater stress for me on corset. You have any recommendations for where I could get one that will last more than 6 months. Thx

    1. Hi Mechelle, I don’t know where you’re located but if you would like a custom corset, you can see if any corset makers live near you by looking at the corsetiere map. overbust to support your full bust, I would recommend the makers in this gallery (overbusts for large busts). However please note that an overbust corset is much more difficult to fit compared to an underbust, and it will cost more than $200 if you would like a personal fitting especially to make sure it fits in all the right places and is reinforced where you need the extra support.

  12. Hey Lucy,
I’ve always wanted a corset. Just something for me (and my husband) to enjoy. Due to my sizing, I haven’t found one yet. My torso is average not short or extra long. My measurements are
    B: 42
    W: 34
    H: 39
I’ve been searching for a long time for one that’ll fit but I have no idea which one would be best for me or if one was possible to be made.
If you could let me know.

    1. Hi Autumn, thanks for your measurements. Are you looking for an overbust corset or an underbust? If you’d like an underbust, then I’ll need your ribcage circumference instead of your full bust. It’s also easier to recommend a certain corset if I know your torso length in inches, because even the difference of an inch or two can mean the difference between being comfortable or not being able to sit down properly. I have a measuring tutorial and contact form here. Cheers!

  13. Thanks for this page. I cannot wear standard size corsets, due to my rather unique measurements; Very short waist to lab measurement, assymetrical body (one leg longer/shorter than the other), and an exaggerated lumbar lordosis. I love corsets and I wish to waist train, but my hobby has become so expensive :p .

  14. i orderd two corsets from Orchard-cs-426-longline-underbust one size16 one 18! im wearing the size 18 right now .its closed and fits really good everywhere but the Front torso length! from the waist to corset top is about 3 inches too short! it is a longline about 13 front. torso length i need it 16! I am a guy (strait) with a small girlish figure! Im 5’5 118lbs my measurements are
underbust33. I don’t have anyone to measure me!
waist23. hopefully i got them right!
widesthips32. I would like to close a 17 inch waist!
my other problem is. I’ve seasoned or breaked in thies corsets but. ive already broke the busks /the laces/and seams are ripping!
O need a corset that’s really really strong! could you help me?
    torso15 1/2

    1. Hi Aaron, are you looking to specifically feminize your figure? We have another gallery on feminizing corsets here so these corsetieres will be experienced with the kind of corset you’re looking for. While most of these corsets are over $200, they are specialists who can help create exactly what you need. Some favorites include House of Canney, Romantasy, and Puimond. When you contact them, please also tell them that you need a stronger busk, reinforced seams, etc.

  15. Hello Lucy,

I have been interested in corsets for years now. I have lower back pain and also do horse riding so in combination that leads to some issues! I have been working on gaining stomach muscles as well as I have recently been diagnosed with slight lumbar lordosis and nerve compression whilst lifting heavy objects! Do you know which company is able to best cater towards anatomical irregularity support? I have had corsets in the past that are too long for my torso and actually dig into my thigh and block blood flow. Ideally I am just looking for a very support right corset that supports my lordosis whilst riding.

    Thank you!

    Underbust: 27.5in
    Natural waist: 25in
    Upperhip: 33in
    Torso length: 12in

    1. Hi Sophie, since your corsets have a medical requirement, I would use caution before buying a corset from just any maker (even if it’s made to measure). The corsetiere map has yellow markers and these are corsetieres who have experience making medical back support garments, and they can even work with medical insurance companies if you’re covered. I would start by contacting the corsetiere that lives closest to you (in-person consultations are the best case scenario for ensuring a proper fit), and work your way out from there.

  16. Hello! So my natural waist is 21inches with a 32hip and it’s really hard to find anything my size.. my torso is pretty short as well it’s about five inches long. My dream waistline is 16 inches or even a 18inches..
I’ve been wanted an underbust curved gen corset but I haven’t had any luck..

    1. Hi Bani, I’ve helped fit thousands of people and I have never seen someone with a torso length as short as yours! Are you under 5 feet in height, or do you have any history of spinal curvature? The shortest torso length I have seen in someone was 7.5 inches, which is enough to fit even some OTR waspies or cinchers. Have you tried measuring from under the breast to the top of the lap while standing up and facing the mirror? If so, do you still measure 5 inches?

  17. I am preparing to order custom, and had someone double check the measurements I got when taking them myself, both times had same results – but – looking at the numbers has me worried that my body is strangely proportioned! My natural/skeletal waist (where the crease is when I bend to the side) seems almost absurdly high being immediately below my ribs. Of course I have no clue what the average numbers would be for ‘normal’, and the purpose of going custom is to fit the individual, but I’m still a little worried. Dear Lucy, you’re the only one I think might be able to put my mind at ease!

    1. Hello – what is your underbust-to-waist measurement, and your waist-to-lap (or hip flexor when standing) measurement?

      1. Underbust to waist is 6, waist to lap is 5 (inches).

        1. Yep, your measurements are completely normal. :)

          1. Phew! I have one last question – have you had any corsets where part of customizing the dimensions of it were specifically so that it would accommodate wearing an underwire bra without pinching? If you have, were there any resulting issues affecting the other dimensions of the corset?

  18. Hello Lucy, I am new to corset training. I’ve bought my first a few months ago and and Im almost ready for my next size down. I would love to buy a custom one, one made especially for my measurements but even after going to all the above mentioned sites, i have no idea where to start. I can tell you my first one was from orchard corset the cs426. I love it and it and but i, like i said before, want one made for,my body and a bit shorter. Where should i start? Which site would provide a corset close to the cs426 style? Help I’m so lost…

    Rosaly Hanslik

    1. Hi Rosaly, many people compare the CS-426 to Isabella Corsetry’s “Josephine” corset in terms of the patterning and general shape, except the Josephine is a bit curvier. Isabella does offer custom corsets, so she’d be able to make you a custom Josephine that’s very similar to the shape and cut you already like, but just made to your measurements. If you’d like to hunt out more options, I have a consultation service and I’d be glad to help you out. Cheers!

  19. I am very tall 5’10 with long torso, what company would you most recomend for me to purchase through?

    1. Hi Erica, since all of these companies offer custom fit corsets, they will ALL accommodate your long torso!

  20. Thank you so much for this gallery! I’ve been researching corsets for years, but am just now getting to a point where I can financially begin waist training. The downside is that I have a 12″ natural hip spring, which means OTR is pretty much out of the question. These galleries help more than you know. Thank you for putting so much time and effort into sharing your knowledge with others :)

    1. Thank you Darcy, I’m so glad you’ve found this helpful! :)

    2. Welcome to the 12″ natural hipspring club!! I agree that custom is the way to go and my custom corsets are definitely the best I own, but there is also the MCC-36 corset model which has hips (measured 4.5″ down from waist) which are 14″ bigger than the corset waist size. The underbust (measured 4″ above the waist) is 8″ bigger than the corset waist size. It also has functional lacing over the front hip which can allow you to widen the gap if necessary.
      I am
      Underbust: 30″
      Waist: 26″
High hips: 36″ (3″ below waist)
Full hips: 38″ (6″ below waist)
And picked the size 22″ as I prefer no lacing gap and am able to fully shut the corset. Its really not bad for something which only cost $75!!

  21. I just wanted to let you know the Jupiter Moon 3 link doesn’t work

    1. Thank you for letting me know; she had recently updated her website so I’ve changed the URL. :)

  22. i was actually just looking at Jupiter Moon 3, and the next day she raised her prices to 230 for a basic underbust. :(

    1. Oh no! I’m sorry that she unexpectedly raised her prices. :\ But thanks for letting me know; I’ll have to change the list now.

      1. No worries! Glad to help. I’m looking into Fiorella Corsetry right now. :)
