Dyeable white cotton underbust corset (standard length). This corset is fantastic for those who need to have their corset match perfectly with their outfit; whether for a cosplay, a formal event, or a team with matching uniforms.
What makes this corset different from the others? All three layers of this corset are made with the same cotton fiber so while the corset is dyed, all three layers shrink at the same rate, preventing warping and bubbling. The cotton also takes dye very nicely, and even the binding on top and bottom are cotton! The flat steel bones and the busk are covered with a white coating, and the spiral steel bones are galvanized (treated with a thin coating of zinc) to prevent rust or corrosion.
The standard length corset is suitable for someone with an average torso length, and a relatively balanced figure who carries their weight equally on top and bottom. These corsets have a modern slim silhouette, so it may nip in the waist just a little bit, smooth over love handles and provide excellent posture support, but will not create too much of a conspicuous silhouette under your clothing. For those who are “apple shaped” and you carry your weight high in your tummy this cut may be a more suitable entry-level corset which will help to flatten the profile and ease you into training if most other corsets are too curvy for you.
This corset is Timeless Trends label, and is made to the same specifications as Timeless Trends.
Slim Standard Length Size Chart
|Corset Size||Ribcage (inches)|
(Measured 5 inches
up from waistline)
|Waist (inches)||Upper Hip (inches)
(Measured 4 inches
down from waistline)
The SLIM SILHOUETTE standard length underbust corsets generally accommodate ribcage ~4 inches larger than the waist, and hips ~7 inches larger than the waist. For instance, a size 24″ corset would fit someone with a ribcage circumference of 28″ and high hip of 31″. However, as a mass-produced garment there is a natural variation in these corsets so the proportions may not be exact in every corset.
Lengthwise, the standard length underbust corsets are approximately:
12 inches long in the center front.
10 inches long at the princess seam.
9.5 inches long at the side seam.
12.5 inches long at the center back.
It is generally advised that corsets are ordered approximately 4 inches (10cm) smaller than your natural waist – however if you would like to have your size verified before purchase, you may fill out the measurement form on this page. Please note that this sizing guide is only for the corsets sold on this website, and is not intended to replace a consultation (where external brands are discussed freely).
This corset contains two core layers of cotton twill, and a fashion fabric of a finer-weave cotton twill which is hardy, matte and abrasion-resistant. As a natural fiber it will breathe better than polyester-based fabrics, and is a favorite for those who wish to waist train (as long as measurements are compatible).
All standard underbust corsets contain 20 spiral steel bones and 6 flat steel bones, plus a front fastening busk and back grommets/ laces.
Returns and Exchanges:
Timeless Trends (and Lucy as an extension) are proud to offer the longest known return window within the corset industry.
You have a full 45 days from the purchase date to “try out” the corset and you can return or exchange it as long as the corset does not have any stains, scents, or obvious signs of wear. Just fill out the exchange form, ship it back and I’ll give you a full refund (minus shipping; USPS takes that). Lucy Corsetry does not charge any restocking fee! After the 45 days are over, the corset will not be accepted for refund, but it is still under warranty for life – some wear is normal, but if something prematurely breaks from normal use, your corset is still eligible for exchange. Please see our TOS and Policies for more information.
