Introducing “Jolie”, a black cotton longline underbust corset in a lovely hourglass silhouette. A classic and versatile piece in any corseter’s wardrobe; inky black cotton fabric is all-business – and without hip ties, it’s a smooth option under clothing for those with a long torso.

The longline corset is suitable for those who have a longer torso (a seated torso length of 11 inches or longer from under the breast to the top of the lap). This is suitable for many plus size or full-figure corset enthusiasts as well; the lower edge of this corset does well to pull in any protruding lower tummy. These corsets have a more hourglass silhouette, so it will nip in your waist and provide a more dramatic curve compared to the ‘slim silhouette’ corsets.

Measurements:

The longline underbust corsets generally accommodate ribcage ~6 inches larger than the waist, upper hip 8 inches bigger than the waist, and lower hips 12 inches larger than the waist. For instance, a size 24″ corset would fit someone with a ribcage circumference of 30″ and lower hip of 36″. As a mass-produced garment there is a natural variation in these corsets so the proportions may not be exact in every corset, although we aim for less than 0.5 inch variation.

Lengthwise, the longline underbust corsets are approximately:

13.75 inches long in the center front.

11 inches long at the princess seam.

13 inches long at the side seam.

14 inches long at the center back.

 

Sizing:

It is generally advised that corsets are ordered approximately 4-6 inches (10-15 cm) smaller than your natural waist – however if you would like to have your size verified before purchase, you may fill out the measurement form on this page. Contents:

This corset contains two layers of cotton twill which is hardy, matte, abrasion-resistant and fade-resistant, with an interlining in between. As a natural fiber it will breathe better than polyester-based fabrics, and is a favorite for those who wish to waist train (as long as measurements are compatible).

The fashion fabric is always fully fused to the twill, which adds strength and prevents bubbling or wrinkling – creating a smooth line on the body.

All Glamorous Jolie corsets contain 20 spiral steel bones and 4 flat steel bones, plus a front fastening busk and back grommets/ laces..

This corset also features 6 garter tabs, and a matching modesty placket under the busk. An unstiffened back modesty panel is included, but we do also have boned floating modesty panels for separate purchase.

 

Returns and Exchanges:

You have a full 30 days from the purchase date to “try out” the corset and you can return or exchange it as long as the corset does not have any stains, scents, or obvious signs of wear. Just fill out the exchange form, ship it back and I’ll give you a full refund (minus shipping; USPS takes that). Lucy Corsetry does not charge any restocking fee!
